Job Description

Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Contracts has an exciting opening for a Sr. Contract Negotiator in the Strategic and Naval Systems Product Line supporting the Parabolic Dish Subsystem (PDSS) and Range Support Aircraft Program. The PDSS and RSA programs are both unique and challenging various contract types, one as a third tier subcontractor to another large prime and the other with the US Government. The individual in this role will be responsible for participation in analysis of Request for Proposals (RFP), proposal reviews and coordination, contract negotiation and general contract administration including other business agreements and contracts with the U. S. Government and other Defense Contractors. Responsibilities include working closely with Program Managers, Business/Estimating functions to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals; providing support to program management regarding contractual and business issues; ensuring that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies; and advising management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • 6 years of professional experience in contracts, subcontracts, legal, finance or similar business field
  • BS/BA is required in one of the following majors: Business, Finance or Related Field (Master’s degree may be considered in lieu of 2 yrs of experience)
  • Past experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently
  • Experience working within a team and to foster teamwork and trust
  • Ability to acquire, or possess existing, DoD Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • MBA or Juris Doctor Degree
  • Professional experience in contracts, with an emphasis on USG DoD; FMS; and DCS sole source and competitive development contracts
  • Understanding of regulatory policies to include: US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers
  • Ability to successful manage contracts in a prime and a subcontractor role
  • Business acumen with financial understanding of our business
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments/situations
  • Existing DoD Clearance
Security Clearance
This position requires the eligibility to obtain security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.
