Job Description

An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Project Coordinator to join the AWD program, based at Techport SA. Working as a part of the Project Management Office, the Project Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a range of projects including the day-to-day coordination and planning such as: program reporting, acceptance process, sea release document management, sea trials and general project support. The role includes project planning and data analysis of acceptance data and objective quality evidence. This role will be offered on a fixed term basis until May 2020.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for day-to-day high level administrative activities contributing to the project success including facilitating the project status meetings with internal and external stakeholders (particularly within the Alliance organisation who are responsible for production, logistical oversight and testing)
  • Assist in the management of project risks and opportunities and coordinate project reviews
  • Creation of formal correspondence to the Commonwealth of Australia and subcontractors.
  • Creation of routine reports for project status reporting and creation and management of project documentation
  • Assistance in facilitating various project forums including design reviews and “War Room” between sea trials and delivery and the joint and final inspection
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Business, Project Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Ideally (4) years prior relevant experience in high level project coordination within the defence industry
  • Advanced knowledge of complex data management and analysis
  • Previous experience making improvements to processes, systems or products to enhance performance of the job area
  • Proven high standard of written and verbal communication skills
Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian defence security clearance.
