Job Description

The Raytheon Diné Facility (RDF) is a remote location factory structured under the Missile Systems business unit of Raytheon Company. RDF manufactures a wide variety of electro mechanical devices and end products. We are looking to hire Plant Associates from our current Volt contractor workforce.

Job Description:

Employee performs wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing environment such as assemble, solder or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with others. Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement. Employee is expected to perform the duties and tasks with guidance from supervision, work instructions and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Read, understand and interpret work instructions, written or verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to established guidelines, instructions, procedures, and quality standards.
  2. Read, learn and understand and comply with safety and RMS process and procedures.
  3. Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of components or products.
  4. Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Supervisor.
  5. Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  6. Practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realizing continuous improvement to products and processes.
  7. Perform quality work checks to insure product meets quality standards.
  8. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects identified.
  9. Rework and/or repair assembled product according to engineering specification changes.
  10. Maintain inventory of products in work areas.
  11. Cross train to other departments as needed.

    Physical Demands and Abilities:
  1. Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  2. Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately using good hand-eye coordination.
  3. Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk for up to 10 hours and reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  4. Ability to regularly lift and move up to up to 25 pounds.
  5. Specific vision abilities include close/distance/peripheral vision and color perception.

Qualifications Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must have 9+ months of RMS experience with good attendance, job performance, teaming skills and demonstrate RMS Values and Behaviors.
  3. Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions/instructions.
  4. High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
  5. Proficient with MS Office, online communication, LMS, QT & PRISM systems.
  6. Good written and oral communication.
  7. Must be open to working 1st or 2nd shift

Other Requirements:
  1. To qualify for placement applicants must pass screenings and background.
  2. Ability to commit to shift work including nights, overtime, holiday and weekend and prompt arrival for shifts.
  3. Must have valid driver’s license.
  4. Must have email address and two working telephone contact numbers.


The position is located at the Raytheon Diné Facility in Farmington, NM. RMS- Diné Facility adheres to
