Raytheon is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer. The role of the Cyber Security Engineer is to bridge the gap between high level security policies/requirements and technical/operational implementation of those requirements. Candidates should have in-depth understanding of the cybersecurity policies and procedures for government sector information systems and sufficient technical knowledge and experience to implement them. The Cyber Security Engineer will provide guidance, standards, and oversight to the development teams as they work towards accreditation and then to keep accredited. The candidate will provide input to Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and Risk Managed Framework (RMF) activities and related documentation such as systems concept of operations, system security plan, implementation plans, test plans, and maintenance training materials.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US CITIZEN with an Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance
Hires with Active TS/SCI, or higher, clearances are eligible for sign-on bonuses of "up to" $40,000.00

Required Skills:
• Technical (hands-on) experience related to Information Assurance/Cyber Engineering requirements, determination, development, and implementation
• Experience in security systems engineering involving various computer hardware, operating system, virtual machines, container-based virtualization, and application solutions
• Experience with security features and/or vulnerability of various operating systems as defined by NIST, DISA (STIGs) and USCYBERCOM
• Experience with IA vulnerability testing and related network and system test tools; e.g., Retina, NMap, Nessus, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)

Desired Skills:
• Experience with network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO system
• Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and Experience implementing DoD and Federal RMF A&A Processes, IA controls and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation
• Experience working with US Government customer and Intelligence
• DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II Compliant Certification (Security+/CISSP)
• Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework as described in NIST Special Publications 800-37 and 800-53
• Security related Network (Cisco) and Operating Systems (Linux) certification or training
• Experience with information security toolset including anti-virus and HBSS
• Experience with auditing software such as Splunk and Netwitness

Education Requirements:
2 years with a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math, or a related technical degree; 0 years with a MS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math, or a related technical degree
