Job Description:
The Raytheon IIS Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has a professional opening for a DevOps Pipeline Engineer. This role will be responsible for development and implementation of tools and processes that enable Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) software releases for both Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and mission application software development. The qualified candidate will embrace our software development transformation activities to enable us to reach our goals in terms of velocity increases and defect reduction. The ability to obtain a US Government Secret security clearance is required for this position (US citizenship required).

Candidates with a current TS/SCI security clearance or higher are eligible for a $20,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon


Required Skills:
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Go or bash
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD software release tools (e.g. Jenkins, Travis, gitlab)
  • Experience with container technology and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with different service models (e.g. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) hosted in cloud environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:
  • Experience installing, configuring, and administrating Linux systems
  • Experience with deployment/configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet, Chef, fabric)
  • Experience with SQL and noSQL database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Cassandra
  • Experience with AWS or Azure or Oracle Cloud or equivalent technologies (e.g. EC2, EBS, RDS, Elasticache, Kinesis)
  • Existing US Government Secret security clearance
Education:
Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of related work experience.
