Job Description

The Phalanx/SeaRAM program has an exciting opportunity for a Material Finance Consultant. This position is a new role on the program that will be a high visibility position requiring vision and leadership to work across functions to help implement and improve material processes both within the program and across RMS. The successful candidate will partner not only across program functions but alos work closely with the RMS Material EAC Team to provide vision and drive improvements to the program’s material process that can then become the model for other programs within RMS.

Recurring activities include:

  • Provide vision and leadership to help establish and improve processes to better validate, analyze and understand program material positions
  • Partner with the RMS Material EAC Team to bring best practices to Phalanx/SeaRAM as well as share improvements that will benefit other RMS programs
  • Lead the development of the material portion of the program’s quarterly Estimates At Complete (EACs)
  • Provide training and mentorship to other CIDS financial analysts on material systems and processes
  • Manage program material processes including weekly and monthly cost reporting to program management, trend and variance analysis to plan, and material Forecasting

Do you meet these minimum requirements?
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Math or a related study and a minimum of 8 years of related experience or a related MS degree in Business, Finance Accounting and 6 years related experience
  • Significant financial experience on large production contracts
  • Knowledge of material processes including PRISM, PRISM EV, and grouping, pegging, and distribution (GPD)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel utilizing extremely large data sets (pivot tables, advanced formulas, graphing, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience with APEX (SAP) and Business Warehouse (BW)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively with peers and leadership
Highly Desired Skills:
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop and apply innovative solutions and process improvements
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication and organization skills
  • Advanced data analysis and mathematical skills are preferred
