Job Description

Job Description: Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Supply Chain Logistics team is seeking a Logistics Specialist to serve as a team member responsible for shipping of government owned assets in accordance with Defense Contract Management Agency Transportation rules and regulations. You will perform a wide array of duties including preparation of government bills of lading using government software and SAP.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Authorizations for shipments in Wide Area Work Flow Receiving Reports, DD1149s and DD1348s.
  • Accountability for the government's rules and regulations specified in the Defense Transportation Regulations, Military freight traffic unified rules publication and others.
  • Foreign Military Sales preparation using the Defense Contract Management Agency transportation tools and Mil-STD-129 for the preparation of Military Shipment labels.
  • Handle and ship items listed in the Defense Transportation Regulation Part II, sensitive and classified materials.
  • Coordinate and monitor workflow, assist in prioritizing activities in assigned areas to improve upon service level commitment.

Required Skills:
  • 2 years experience in a logistics, supply chain or related field
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
  • High data entry speed and accuracy
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional Saturdays
  • Experience keeping auditable records
  • Experience with loading dock activities
  • Experience working within a diverse team environment
  • Experience with Microsoft office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate Government Agency for non-U.S. Persons
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
Desired Skills:
  • General industry experience and understanding of protocol in a defense company, including work with Government Furnished Material (GFM)
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), and Defense Transportation Regulations
  • Import/Export Compliance experience
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or other relevant function
