***Great opportunity for current college students entering their Junior or Senior year by Fall 2019 or college graduate students (entering or currently enrolled) in a graduate program by Fall 2019.***

Raytheon Professional Services, LLC located in Troy, MI is looking for a college student to work in our Curriculum Team supporting the creation of training materials for a variety of industries.

This position will report to a Project Lead or Instructional Designer as a member of a cross-functional team and is responsible for 1) technical support in collecting and formatting analysis data and 2) the development of training materials and courseware. The courseware may be produced for many different industries and will be delivered in an increasing variety of delivery media including: Web, Virtual Classroom Training (VCT), or Instructor led hands on.

Located in Troy, MI, the successful candidate student must report to the Raytheon office in Troy, MI on a daily basis.

This position can be a Salary Grade of G04, G05 or NUG based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
  • G04 (College Junior by Fall 2019) - must have completed 60 hours of college
  • G05 (College Senior by Fall 2019) - must have completed 90 hours of college
  • NUG (Post- Graduate-Masters-PhD by Fall 2019) - must have an undergraduate degree and currently enrolled or about to enroll in a graduate degree program
Required Skills:
  • Experience (either coursework, paid or volunteer) in the field of instructional design, educational technology, teaching/student teaching, or tutoring.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within Instructional Systems Design
  • Knowledge of basic forms of instructional and training analysis
  • Excellent software skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to use the ADDIE model for course development
  • Ability to use Articulate Storyline 3 or Storyline 360 software for course development
  • Ability to organize content to support learning objectives
  • Ability to organize content using creative message design principles
  • Ability to develop a variety of assessments and assessment items
  • Ability to organize and lay out content visually
  • Ability to work in a team environment with good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize content using creative message design principles
  • Excellent writing skills; (use of language, grammar, spelling, organizing content)
  • Must be conscientious and monitor work quality with strong attention to detail, provide professional format and delivery, and be committed to customer deadlines.
  • Adapt quickly and responsive to changing priorities.
Required Education:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, English, Education or other related field.
  • Must have a minimum of junior status (completed 60 units) by end of spring 2019.
