Job Description:
This individual assures that the products meet their specified requirements; are consistent, complete, and correct as warranted for the system and operation environment; and satisfy customer and mission needs.
Identifies and addresses areas where the adequacy of program plans, requirements, analyses, risk mitigation plans, certification/verification/ validation/qualification approaches and process/product non-compliance have the potential to impact overall mission success.

Assure inspect-ability, testability and productability are considered during the early development of the systems specification and flow down to lower-level requirements.
Assure Specialty Engineering implements a product, system and software safety program and conducts hazards analysis as defined by contractual requirements and command media.
Review and assess impact of variances resulting from major hardware and software non-conformance's.

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated competency in the application of the personal computer to complete assignments, including skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Project, etc.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
  • Demonstrate good soft skills and have the ability to work within a cross-functional team environment
  • Familiar with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing related documents
  • Familiar with and has some practical experience of Six Sigma methodologies (e.g. Kaizen, Lean, DMAIC, and DMADV) and tools (e.g. ANOVA, SPC, Capability Analysis, DOE, MSA, and FMEA)
  • Experience in supporting design and manufacturing processes
  • Project Management experience, working experience with AS 9100 Quality Management Systems, and experience in Aerospace-related Manufacturing Environment, is a plus
Required Education (including major):
  • Must have a BS / BA with a major in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Science, Math;
  • or other related field by Summer 2020 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
