As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. Job Description:
Come be a part of Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Cost Accounting team, a World Class finance organization that leads by example and is highly respected and valued by our internal and external customers.

This position provides visibility to the overall performance of the Business, how financial activity flows through the accounting system, and how our actions impact SAS’s financial performance. It also provides an excellent opportunity for networking and building contacts within Finance and other SAS organizations, other Raytheon Business Units, and Corporate. Our Department is involved in various high visibility teams across Raytheon that drive policies, establish financial guidelines, and set the direction of our financial organization for the future.

As a member of the SAS Cost Accounting organization, responsibilities include performing various activities including but not limited to:

  • Preparation and posting of journal entries.
  • Month end accounting close process and special projects.
  • Preparation and posting of monthly and quarterly accruals.
  • Coordination and communication between Raytheon Businesses.
  • Process Inter-Organizational Transfers.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance of key internal controls.

Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative with assignments.
  • Ability to multitask and produce quality work by being well organized, accurate, efficient, and timely.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems

Desired Skills:

  • Some related work experience.
  • Experience using SAP and BW or similar accounting system.
  • General knowledge of FAR and CAS Government Regulations.
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)

Required Education (including major): Must have a BS / BA with a major in Accounting, Finance, or other related field by Summer 2018 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
