Job Description

Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is looking for an entry level Engineering Logistics Specialist at our Colorado Springs, CO location to join our team in support of the US Air Force North American Aerospace Defense (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex - Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract (NISSC).The NISSC Program provides accurate, timely, and unambiguous warning and attack assessment of Air, Missile, and Space threats with daily visibility of National Command Authority (NCA) leadership to include the POTUS.
NCMC-ITW/AA is comprised of Air, Missile, and Space Situational Awareness missions located at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS), Peterson AFB, Offutt AFB, and Vandenberg AFB, and Forward User / Sensor Site locations worldwide. The successful candidate will work very closely with the IIS Program Engineer, Program Management Office (PMO) and Training and Logistics Services Logistics (T&LS) Lead to execute tasks described above and as a key member of the Integrated Project Team

The duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing field support requirements and recommending tool and test equipment
  • Establishing calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks
  • Assisting in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support
  • Contributing to proposal efforts associated with managing / executing ILS elements and tasks
  • Researching parts and providing analysis; communicating research results in writing via tabular form
  • Participating in peer reviews of technical documentation
  • Collaborating with teammates and program leadership


Required Skills:
  • Strong understanding of and ability to read engineering drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience researching Hardware and Software Obsolescence
  • Experience using parts databases and tools
  • Experience with conducting Obsolescence parts investigation requests
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Security Clearance - This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of radar systems
  • Knowledge in the lifecycle of production, repair, spares, and upgrades of depot repair items
  • Knowledge in the development and maintenance of engineering documentation
  • Knowledge of the engineering change proposal (ECP) processes
  • Proficient use of Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint) as well as other tools such as Common PDM

Required Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree obtained within the past 18 months or by Fall 2018 in Engineering or other STEM related fields. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is desired. Please include your transcript with your resume.
