Job Description

Our Mission Capability Verification Center at White Sands Missile Range, NM is searching for an Engineering Student (Coop) to join the Systems Integration team to support mission test operations including design, development and analysis activities. Our engineering organization uses state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and Raytheon Six Sigma principles.

Job Description:
Contribute in the design and development of non-tactical test equipment and simulation hardware utilizing computer aided design tools. Tasks include assisting in system fabrication and assembly of real-time test and simulation hardware of launcher, radar and missile systems.

Additional responsibilities include working across disciplines and providing ad hoc assistance to support program requirements as needed.

  • Tasks could include assisting with and providing support to mission operations at WSMR to include coordination, system performance analysis and setup of tactical equipment such as launchers.
  • Adhere to the Safety, Security and Quality Management programs in place to protect and enable our workforce, and produce the highest quality results.
  • This co-op assignment is from October 2018 – January 2019.

Basic Skills and Required Education:

  • Junior, Senior or Graduate student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge in Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools such as AutoCAD, Pro-Engineer, SolidWorks or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standard test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers in support of engineering troubleshooting.

Ability to analyze, conduct problem solving, multi-task and meet deadlines working in a team environment across multiple disciplines.

Desired Skills:

·Knowledge in embedded hardware design.
