Job Description:

Raytheon Missile Systems is the world’s largest missile producer responsible for the design, test, manufacturer, and support of weapon systems supporting our US warfighter and international allies. Every missile system produced by Raytheon contains a set of advanced and purpose designed electrical subsystems. These enable the guidance, navigation, signal processing, target detection and tracking system functions. The Electrical Subsystems Directorate (ESD) is responsible for all aspects of these subsystems design, test and production.

ESD is seeking recent college graduates with the skills and passion to engineer complex RF systems, subsystems and components. A successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi-disciplined team and properly apply engineering tools and processes.

All candidates will be expected to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity, working under general supervision. The position requires frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts and techniques. Successful candidates should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based, and challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.



The ideal candidate will have knowledge in at least one of the following areas:


· RF design and development experience of transmitters, receivers, and exciters

· Familiarity with basic RADAR concepts, hardware/software integration and test processes and procedures

· The RF subsystems product development lifecycle


Required Skills:


  • Solid background and practical understanding of RF design considerations, to include experience or relevant course work.
  • Must be a recent/upcoming college graduate no longer than the past 18 months
  • Candidate will have strong communication and teaming skills
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to proactively identify alternative solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
  • Ability to prepare documentation with minimal oversight
  • Experience with any of the following tools: Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, System Vision, MATLAB, MathCad, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and Advanced Design System (ADS).
  • Ability to be granted a Department of Defense Secret security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required


Desired Skills:


  • Possess active DoD issued security clearance
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and technical skills with a desire to support enterprise initiatives
  • Experience in the test, measurement and integration of RF products and systems
  • Experience with RF signal processing and performance analysis
  • Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance


Education:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Engineering Physics. The Job Title for a Bachelor of Science degree is an Electrical Engineer I.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Cumulative GPA of 3.00 is desired.
