    Raytheon’s Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program (RELDP) fosters world-class leaders capable of leading Raytheon's engineering functions across the company. Program participants rotate through Raytheon, gaining exposure to cutting-edge principles, products and trends, working with current leaders, and developing the skills and competencies needed to help shape the company's future.

    During this two year program, participants will have two diverse assignments lasting 12-months each, and located in different geographical locations. Participants are engaged in a wide range of learning experiences including mentoring, live and self-paced learning, skills assessments, community service, career planning, networking, and exposure to Raytheon-wide facilities and practices. Individual development plans are linked to Raytheon’s leadership competencies with the goal of developing Raytheon’s engineering leaders of tomorrow.

    The first assignment associated with this job requisition is with the Systems Design Center within the System Design & Performance Directorate. This Directorate has systems design responsibility for programs in the following product lines: Naval and Area Mission Defense, Air Warfare Systems, Land Combat Systems and Air and Missile Defense Systems. The Systems Design Center is responsible for the overall technical integrity of the systems being developed, and is the point organization for coordinating GNC; Modeling, Simulation and Analysis; and Signal Processing support where required; the organization often takes the lead on Failure Review Boards, Engineering Review Boards, and other cross discipline engagements.

    Required Skills:

    Willingness to geographically relocate multiple times during 2-year program durationStrong technical capabilityDemonstrated leadership skillsMust be able to obtain a Security Clearance. This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens. Requirements development and maturation to include subsystem and component level. (through this you learn and communicate how the system will function)Develop system architectures that meet the system performance and interface requirementsPerform trade studies on the best solutions to develop the system. You determine the most efficient design that has the lowest cost.Establish verification and validation techniques for requirements at all levels of indenture for complex systems to include application of simulation, testing, analysis, and demonstration.

    • Desired Skills:

    • Matlab and/or C++ experience
    • Modeling and Simulation experience
    • Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
    • Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills
    • Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
    • Ability to problem solve and seek out additional resources

    • Required Education:

    • Graduating with a Master’s Degree or PhD in engineering or hard science in the current academic year (August/September 2018 - June 2019)
    • A 3.5 GPA or higher in graduate studies; a 3.2 GPA or higher in undergraduate studies
