Job Description

The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Global Business Services, Engineering Solutions Electrical Engineering team. This team is responsible for researching, piloting, & delivering Electrical Engineering tools, automated solutions and best practices in support of the Raytheon Electrical Engineering Community.

The successful candidate will have experience in supporting an end user community relative to application installation, customization and integration. A qualified candidate shall be able to support cutting edge Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and Schematic Capture Design Tools. The candidate will learn the CCA design processes and will work to develop supplier interfacing skills, while staying abreast of the latest technologies.

The candidate shall possess good problem solving skills as they relate to the functionality and integration of the supported electrical tools. The successful candidate shall be focused on providing effective solutions that enable engineering success within a collaborative virtual environment.


Required Skills:

  • US Citizenship status is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge of Electrical Design - specifically Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design and the associated tools
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following Suppliers: Mentor Graphics and Cadence
  • Understanding of Schematic Capture and PWB layout processes and tools
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills internal and external to the organization
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management, co-workers and customers
  • Must be able to act as the prime technical contact for assigned areas of responsibility
  • Ability to collaborate with Enterprise Raytheon, to achieve common goals
Desired Skills:
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload your most recent transcript when applying)
  • Class projects, professional internships, or academic research demonstrating the ability to apply technical course work or computer skills.
  • Experience with Digital, Analog, and RF designs.
  • Experience with software requirements and development with knowledge of Visual Basic programming languages, C, C++, PERL, and Linux scripting.
  • Familiarity with Visual Basic (VB) scripting is a plus
  • Experience/Understanding of drafting/drawing tools (e.g. Blueprint).
  • Experience/Understanding of PWB manufacturing verification tool, Valor NPI.
  • Experience/Familiarity with Signal and/or Power Integrity Analysis.

Required Education (including Major):
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Math, Science, Engineering or other related discipline by Summer of 2018 or have obtained a degree within 18 months of start date. (Minimum Requirement)
