Job Description

Raytheon Solipsys, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raytheon Company, is an industry leader in the development of integrated C4I Network Centric Defense System solutions for both the Domestic and International DoD. We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer for our Fulton, Maryland office (in Maple Lawn) who is talented, highly motivated, has a passion for finding innovative solutions to problems, and committed to quality to join our team. Emphasis at this level is System integration and performance verification of the Raytheon Solipsys suite of products with some minor involvement in requirements definition and design.

This position can be a Salary Grade G06 or Salary Grade G07 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the educational requirement for the position. We are looking for recent graduates to fill these entry level positions.

Required Education (including Major): B.S./B.A. in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Computer Engineering (with an emphasis on programming) or other related engineering/science discipline.

Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret Clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
• Proven knowledge of advance mathematics principles, using calculus.
• Previous experience as an intern or summer hire, working for a DoD contractor, desired.
• Ability to understand and apply commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the systems engineering field (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, Mil-Std-499B).
• Ability to learn to use of Requirements Management software, such as DOORS.
• Ability to develop skills using a system architecture development tool, such as Enterprise Architect or Rational Suite.
• General knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML), desired
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Possess strong analytical and quantitative abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, working as part of a team
• Fundamental knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Microsoft Windows operating systems, desired
• Understanding of C++ and Java Software
• Working knowledge of standard MS Office product suite applications
• Willingness for occasional domestic and international travel (10-20%)
