Job Description

Raytheon Solipsys, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raytheon Company, is an industry leader in the development of integrated C4I Network Centric Defense System solutions for both the Domestic and International DoD. We are currently looking for a Systems Engineering Intern for our Fulton, Maryland office (in Maple Lawn) who is talented, highly motivated, has a passion for finding innovative solutions to problems, and committed to quality to join our team. Key areas of responsibility will include:

Supporting the Systems Engineering department performing Systems integration, test and performance verification, and computer systems maintenance in the software labs.

Basic Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a BA/BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other engineering related degree.

Working knowledge of Linux Operating System and Java and/or C++ software languages.

U.S Citizenship is required for security clearance within one year.

Desired Qualifications:

GPA of 3.0 or better strongly desired
Knowledge of cybersecurity test methods for software.
Understanding of automated test methods and tools.
Understanding of CMMI processes and standards.
Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) techniques, and the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
Knowledge of Agile engineering processes.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work with standard MS Office product suite applications. 113129
