Job Description:
Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) System’s Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) organization is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to support the Tactical Radar Product Line area of programs. The ideal candidate will be a highly enthusiastic team member excited about learning new technologies and development of tactical radar systems. In this position, which is located in El Segundo, CA, the intern will have the opportunity to have hands-on development support of new system capabilities supporting fire controlled radar product line. Specific assignments will be determined based on the candidate’s background, skillset, and interests. Tasks may include system integration and flight test support, system performance analysis and test, or system requirements development and design support.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel and Project
  • Must have the ability to travel among local Raytheon facilities and to travel on business
  • Must be a college Sophomore student by Fall 2018
  • Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
  • Advanced coursework in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or other related technical field.

Required Education (including major): Currently pursuing a BS / BA degree from an accredited four-year university and entering as a college Sophomore by Fall 2018. Must be working towards a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent technical discipline. Must be appropriate grade level listed above.

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date
