As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. Job Description:
This position is for an electrical engineer to work in the Hardware Center of Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business unit. The person hired for this position will work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. This entails working in integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications. Activities include detailed RF, analog, and power conversion design with power, RF, and embedded systems. Specific tasks include circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation, construction of breadboards, design verification and testing, and integration of hardware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards.

Required Skills:

  • Electrical engineering experience with an emphasis on electromagnetic and analog design.
  • Experience with industry standard CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools for electrical engineering as well as EE lab equipment
  • Experience with schematic capture, simulation, and test
  • Experience with RF circuit and system modeling tools such as ADS (Advanced Design Systems for RF modeling)
  • Experience with Spice or Spice-derivative analysis tools
  • Experience with MATLAB analysis tools
  • Familiarity with the design processes, which may include setting requirements to development, test, and integration
  • Laboratory experience with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Network Analyzers
  • Must be able to obtain an interim Secret security clearance prior to starting, with the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with FPGA design using VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog
  • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner or other ECAD tools for schematic capture
  • Software skills with C, C++ Visual Basic, and/or assembly languages.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)

  • Must have a BS / BA with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math, or other related field by Summer 2018 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
