Job Description

Raytheon BBN Technologies seeks a physics or engineer student for an internship or co-op position in its Quantum Engineering and Computing group in Cambridge, MA for the summer of 2018. BBN seeks individuals excited about building hardware and software tools to support our quantum information and classical computing experiments. The candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team solving complex technical challenges.

Qualifications:
• Junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or in a related field.
• Experience with one or more of the following domains is desired:
- Superconducting circuit design, RF or microwave circuits design
- Cryogenic measurement techniques
- Magnetic memory technologies, magnetic microwave devices, and measurements thereof
- Fabrication and measurement of quantum and single-layered materials
- Superconducting amplifiers, qubits and quantum hardware
• Programming experience: Matlab, Python, Julia, C/C++.
• Hands on experience with electronics is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
