Job Description

Are you ready to add Mission Assurance to your skill set? Are you ready to use your technical analytical skills in the Quality Sciences? Do you have a desire to do more than design? We have an immediate need for an Operations Quality Engineer within IDS located in Andover, MA. You will represent the customer’s best interests by assuring product and process quality and effectiveness during the production phase.

As a Quality Engineer you will be a Mission Assurance interface to drive overall quality performance with continuous improvement and implementation of lean methodologies. You will help to ensure programs meet standards and customer requirements for compliance and Mission Assurance. Working collaboratively with other functions, you will affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communication skills. You will work in a results based culture with a strong focus on continuous improvement and prevention.

You will use your technical skills to apply Quality Sciences Subject Matter Expertise for hardware and process compliance to meet technical, tactical and strategic objectives. You will work at all levels of the organization to drive root cause and corrective action utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills.

Responsibilities to include:
  • Interpret and compare Technical and Manufacturing Data Packages
  • Conduct Evaluations for Process and Product Quality
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement Corrective/Preventative Action solutions
  • Interface with customers and DCMA on a regular basis
  • Analyze and interpret product and process data/trends identifying systemic issues and opportunities to improve product/process quality.
  • Conduct Product Readiness Reviews to ensure contract compliance prior to delivery to customer.

Required Skills:

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an emphasis in Engineering, Sciences, or Quality
