Job Description

Raytheon BBN Technologies is seeking software engineers for its Intelligent Software and Systems group in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Part of a larger group based in Cambridge, MA, this team includes highly trained and experienced scientists and engineers with expertise in diverse disciplines including computer vision, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, modeling and simulation, and more. The skill set and experience of a new hire will overlap and extend the capabilities of the existing team.

The successful candidate will initially support multiple projects, developing algorithms, software, and systems to process images and point-clouds from sources such as cameras and LIDARs to solve real-world problems, and as their career progresses, will be encouraged to assist in identification and nurturing of new research and development opportunities.

Required Skill & Education
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
Good knowledge of a programming language such as C#, C++, Python, or Java and willingness to learn and use unfamiliar programming languages when necessary
Experience with image processing libraries such as OpenCV or PCL
Experience with software development for multi-threaded applications
Experience using source code revision control tools such as Ggit, Team Foundation Version Control, or Subversion
Experience using collaborative development tools such as Jira, Trac, Team Foundation Server, or GitLlab
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Cross-platform development experience a plus, especially for Linux and Windows
Embedded system development experience a plus
Willingness and flexibility to grow and adapt skill set as new technologies emerge

The candidate should be willing and able to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance, and be willing to travel on the order of 2-3 weeks each year for work at customer locations or other Raytheon BBN sites.

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons 112206
