Job Description:
Raytheon is seeking a detail oriented, thorough, organized and capable student to join our team as a Focal Plane Array (FPA) product test engineer. The successful candidate will possess an interest in the application of Infrared FPA data capture and imaging technology to fields including astronomy, earth imaging satellite applications, man portable applications, and countermeasures. The individual will be responsible for performing development and production testing of FPA products at various levels of assembly, and contributing solutions to technical problems arising in the test of FPA products.

For Multi-Level Intern Requisitions:
This position can be a Salary Grade of G04 or G05 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

  • G04 (College Junior by Fall 2018) - must have completed 60 hours of college
  • G05 (College Senior by Fall 2018) - must have completed 90 hours of college

Required Skills:

  • Prior work experience (related or unrelated)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience using common laboratory equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, voltmeters, signal generators, power supplies)
  • Experience working on a team
  • Must be a college Junior or Senior student by Fall 2018
  • Ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

  • Detail oriented, thorough, and organized
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to follow written test procedures
  • Knowledge of software languages (e.g., visual basics, C#)
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)

Required Education (including major): Currently pursuing a BS / BA degree from an accredited four-year university and entering as a college Junior or Senior. Must be working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Science, Math, or equivalent technical discipline. Must be appropriate grade level listed above.
