Job Description

Raytheon Precision Manufacturing seeks a Factory Quality Assurance Intern to provide support to the RPM Quality Assurance Manager and all functional areas of the RPM factory. This support will include Factory Corrective Action Board analysis activities, trending defect types and root causes, various audit activities, Root Cause and Corrective Action activities (RCCA), interaction with and support of Raytheon programs, and continuous improvement activity teams.

Job Duties:
As a Quality Assurance Intern, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
  • Identify the types of records generated in a high mix/low volume factory environment.
  • Identify the retention time frame for each type of record based on Raytheon Policy requirements.
  • Craft a retention scheme and retention policy with engagement/input from the factory Leadership Team.
  • Create a repository for records and partially or completely load the repository with existing records.
  • Teach factory employees how to upload and metatag their records per the retention scheme and retention policy.
  • Attend Six Sigma training, successfully execute the records retention project, and become Six Sigma Specialist qualified.

Requirements:
Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral) with all levels of management via email, telephone, and in person.

Familiarity and/or experience with Microsoft Office toolset (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Previous experience using Sharepoint or other collaborative sharing platforms.

Education:
This position requires a progression towards a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum in a field such as Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or related with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

This position can be a Salary Grade ST03, Salary Grade ST04 or Salary Grade ST05 based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:

  • ST03 (Junior Technical Intern) - Must have completed 60 hours of college
  • ST04 (Senior Technical Intern) - Must have completed 90 hours of college
  • ST05- (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - Must have an undergraduate degree, and currently seeking a graduate degree
