Job Description

Contract Relations Intern performs under the general direction of a Contract Relations Manager or Senior Manager, on specifically assigned projects. Assists in accepting delegated contract administration tasks, which may include routine customer interface, preparation and coordination of correspondence, maintaining the official BBN contract file, maintenance of the department management information database, and arranging meetings.

Job Accountabilities
• May assist in preparing cost proposals under the guidance of responsible Representative or Manager
• Coordinates administrative matters with customers and subcontractors
• Responsible for contract administration tasks assigned by the Contract Relations Manager
• Maintains official BBN contract files
• Performs updates to the contract management information database
• Work direction is clearly defined

Required Education:
• Candidate must be in/entering their junior or senior year and actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines: Business Administration, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, or Accounting

Desired Qualifications:
• Minimum grade point average of 3.0 or above
• International experience (studied or travelled abroad, foreign language)
• Ability to work on teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong business acumen
• Ability to develop solutions to complex issues using an organized systematic approach
• Ability to complete projects on schedule following established procedures
• Ability to foster and maintain solid relationships internally and externally
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform work under general direction
• Attention to detail

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.
