Job Description:
The Life Cycle Engineering Department (LCED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to ensure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user. We have a need for a Reliability Engineer to join our LCED team.

The candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter to perform entry level Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) tasks in accordance with established procedures. The candidate will be an integral part of the LCE team as a Reliability Engineer supporting programs within SAS. The individual will conduct the following tasks, as necessary, in order to influence product reliability:
• Developing solutions to routine technical problems related to product reliability that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
• Contribute to completion of technical tasks in a teaming environment
• Performing reliability analyses (de-rating/stress analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, reliability predictions) as applicable
• Participating in team failure investigations through active management of the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action (FRACA) system
• Participating in Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings to discuss details of failures and failure trending
• Representing Raytheon at customer meetings as applicable
• Performing internal and external supplier interface to resolve reliability issues
• Participating in trade study investigations

Required Skills:
• Experience interpreting and applying engineering drawings
• Experience in gathering and analyzing data from a variety of sources
• Experience in cross functional team environments
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits as used in RF or Analog hardware

Desired Skills:
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
• Ability to apply Reliability principles during either development or sustainment program phases
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) discipline
• Experience working in the DoD customer community (US Army, US Air Force, US Navy)
• Ability to function well in a high pressure multi-tasking environment
• Proactive and effective in addressing issues with a program design and production support teams
• Basic understanding of technical theories and concepts in the reliability field

Required Education (including major): Must have a BS / BA from an ABET accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering or Science, or other related field by Summer 2018 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
