Job Description

Bring your talent and skills to Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) Engineering Team!

Raytheon IIS is seeking an entry-level college student for an Internship for a Software Engineer position to join our team in support of the U.S. Air Force North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract (NISSC).

The qualified candidate will gain experience in computer science and related disciplines to design, develop and adapt scientific methods and techniques to recommend solutions for computer problems.


This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements.

This position can be Salary Grade ST02, Salary Grade ST03, or Salary Grade ST04 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position

  • ·ST02 (TechStudent-Sophomore) – must have completed 60 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Sophomore status as of Summer 2018.
  • ·ST03 (TechStudent–Junior) – must have completed 90 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Junior status as of Summer 2018.
  • ·ST04 (TechStudent-Senior) – must have completed 120 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Senior status as of Summer 2018.
Required Skills:
  • Course work experience with Java, C++, C, or C#
  • Fundamental engineering skills
  • Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Course work experience with relational database management systems and tools (ORACLE, PL/SQL, JDBC)
  • Course work experience with service oriented architectures (J2EE, JNI, JMS)

    Required Education (including Major):

    Currently pursuing a BS/BA in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics from an accredited four-year university
    Required cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is desired. Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. (Please include your transcript with your resume)
