Job Title: University Programs: Quality Assurance Engineer I

As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. The selected candidate will be required to secure these accesses. Not being able to secure the Interim Secret Security Clearance needed for this position may result in an offer of employment being rescinded.

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons

Job Description:
This individual will be responsible for interfacing with the Advanced Products Center Value Streams to ensure compliance to documented processes, procedures and support the manufacturing process to deliver Advanced Products Center Modules, Composite Products and/or RF Systems to our Domestic and International Customers. This position will be assigned to support assembly, inspection, test and delivery of Advanced Products Center products.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

Required Skills:
  • Must have professional engineering experience shown by strong grades or hands on experience
  • Must have interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Must be a current senior in college or recent college graduate
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:
  • Experience or familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience or familiarity with the use of analysis tools such as Pareto Analysis, cause/effect diagrams and process mapping
  • Experience or familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) or related statistical techniques
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply decision–making skills with appropriate supervisory intervention
  • Ability to hold meetings, document Actions and follow-up on Action Assignment/Completions
  • Experience interfacing with various engineering disciplines
  • Ability to obtain and analyze Quality metrics that may be used to drive true root cause and long-term corrective action
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)

Required Education (including major): Must have a BS / BA from an ABET accredited university with a major in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics or other related field by Summer 2018 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
