Job Description

We are Raytheon Missile Systems, (RMS), and we design, develop, and produce missile systems for critical requirements, including air-to-air, strike, surface Navy air defense, land combat missiles, guided projectiles, kill vehicles, and direct energy weapons.
The RMS Focus Program Support (FPS) with Program Management Excellence (PMX) at RMS supports all of our missile programs with program start up, metrics, processes, infusing best practices/lessons learned within our programs, independent assessments, and program closeout. The FPS intern will be exposed and have the opportunity to work across a number of RMS projects and groups.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with project and business influencers to analyze and improve performance of Raytheon’s franchise missile programs.
  • Review and analyze enterprise wide systemic issues and work to resolve with key business leaders.
  • Interface and network with key organizations such as engineering, operations, business development, quality, program management, contracts, supply chain, and finance.
  • Assimilate and analyze data from various systems into reportable information to senior leaders.
  • Drive change for performance improvement based on data analysis.
Required Skills/Experiences:
  • Comfortable working in teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word proficiency
  • Ability to quickly assimilate information and develop strategies and action plans to improve a situation
  • Curiosity about large organization function and broad reaching change initiatives
  • Ability to understand and analyze data
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited institution with Senior status (90 completed credits) pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines: Finance, Business, or IT
GPA requirement – 3.0 cumulative/overall minimum (on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent on other scale)
