Job Description

Raytheon BBN Technologies, located in Arlington, VA, is seeking an IT/Facilities administrator intern to work part-time this Fall and Spring and full-time during the summer of 2018 supporting our current IT Systems Administrator with collateral IT and facilities duties.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and help develop solutions.
• Installation of software on workstations/servers in accordance with corporate standards.
• Inventory equipment and document configurations.
• Maintain printers and other IT assets.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, hard drives, laptops and batch\\script writing.
• Prepare equipment for re-use/disposal.
• Locate and relocate desks, chairs, tables, bookcases, and other related office equipment and furniture.
• Install cables, white boards, and bulletin boards.
• Inventory and prepare documents for destruction.
• May perform general maintenance, custodial, and trash removal tasks.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills:
• The ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Windows and standard corporate applications such as Microsoft Office. Linux operating systems administration and configuration are desirable.
• Basic knowledge of networking, PC hardware, office equipment and the ability to work in a team
environment is highly desirable.
• Willingness and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the Dept. Of Defense requires U.S. citizenship.

Minimum Education:
• Sophomore or Junior student currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related.
