Job Description

Software Developer - Network & Communications Technologies

The Network and Communications Technologies business unit at Raytheon BBN Technologies is seeking a qualified Software Developer to support projects that focus on novel ways of using networking and network science to solve real-world problems. The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include a combination of design, implementation, and validation of software algorithms and protocols for networking and communications systems.
Responsibilities may also include configuring hardware and assisting with field testing.

Our Network and Communications Business Unit innovates and implements solutions across the wireless, and undersea environments. We create new algorithms and paradigms in such diverse and critical areas as mobile wireless networking and computing, software defined networking, energy conservation, novel high performance radar and modem designs, machine learning, content networking, mobility, network security, efficient RF channel access, and communications within extremely constrained or hostile environments. Required Skills:
Development experience using C, C++, Python, Java, or VHDL, Knowledge of software engineering lifecycle, Ability to work in teams, Ability to clearly document work, Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance. A willingness to apply and US citizenship are required.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of networking concepts, RF systems, or computing systems is a plus, Experience with embedded system development is a plus, Experience with Linux or Android, Excellent written and verbal communications • Familiarity with version control systems, Experience with issue tracking systems
