Raytheon’s Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program (RELDP) fosters world-class leaders capable of leading Raytheon's engineering functions across the company. Program participants rotate through Raytheon, gaining exposure to cutting-edge principles, products and trends, working with current leaders, and developing the skills and competencies needed to help shape the company's future.

During this two year program, participants will have diverse assignments lasting 12 months each, and located in different geographical locations. Participants are engaged in a wide range of learning experiences including mentoring, live and self-paced learning, skills assessments, community service, career planning, networking, and exposure to Raytheon-wide facilities and practices. Individual development plans are linked to Raytheon’s leadership competencies with the goal of developing Raytheon’s engineering leaders of tomorrow.

The first assignment associated with this job requisition is with the Hardware Engineering Centers – Antenna & Microwave Products Department.

The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is an engineering organization that focuses on product producibility and mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically. The candidate will be expected to support the testing of production assets. This may include the authoring of processes such as acceptance testing plans, standard operating procedures and reporting of potential improvements.

Required Skills:

  • Willingness to geographically relocate multiple times during 2-year program duration
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.   • Strong skills and experience performing analysis of technical data
  • Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentations

  • 3.5 GPA or higher in graduate studies; a 3.2 GPA or higher in undergraduate studies

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with use of optical fiber in communication systems
  • Some experience troubleshooting and performing failure analysis of RF circuits with demonstrated knowledge of associated equipment.
  • Understand radar theory and application.
  • Hardware Familiarity: Keysight PNAs and Oscilloscopes, Anechoic chambers, near-field antenna data collection instrumentation
  • Software Familiarity: MATLAB, LabVIEW, HFSS, CST MWS, PSpice , C/C++, Assembly, and Verilog

Required Education:

Graduating with a Master’s Degree or PhD in engineering or hard science in the current academic year (September 2017 - June 2018)
A 3.5 GPA or higher in graduate studies; a 3.2 GPA or higher in undergraduate studies
