This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Raytheon’s Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program (RELDP) fosters world-class leaders capable of leading Raytheon's engineering functions across the company. Program participants rotate through Raytheon, gaining exposure to cutting-edge principles, products and trends, working with current leaders, and developing the skills and competencies needed to help shape the company's future.

During this two year program, participants will have diverse assignments lasting 12 months each, and located in different geographical locations. Participants are engaged in a wide range of learning experiences including mentoring, live and self-paced learning, skills assessments, community service, career planning, networking, and exposure to Raytheon-wide facilities and practices. Individual development plans are linked to Raytheon’s leadership competencies with the goal of developing Raytheon’s engineering leaders of tomorrow.

The first assignment associated with this job requisition is with the Hardware Engineering Centers - Radar & Communication Products Department.

The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is an engineering organization that focuses on product producibility and mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically.

  • Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.   • Ability to understand and interpret Acceptance Test Requirements
  • Strong skills and experience performing analysis of technical data

  • 3.5 GPA or higher in graduate studies; a 3.2 GPA or higher in undergraduate studies


Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with use of optical fiber in communication systems
  • Experience with modern Automated Test Systems for electronics
  • Lab experience with RF network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
  • Some experience troubleshooting and performing failure analysis of RF circuits with demonstrated knowledge of associated equipment.
  • Understand radar theory and application.


Required Education:
Graduating with a Master’s Degree or PhD in engineering or hard science in the current academic year (September 2017 - June 2018)
A 3.5 GPA or higher in graduate studies; a 3.2 GPA or higher in undergraduate studies
