This opportunity allows the graduate student to obtain practical industry experience in parallel with degree completion.

The ideal candidate must be available to work part-time during the school semester and full-time during the summer.

Required Experience & Skills:

·Ability to contribute in a team environment to develop creative solutions to technical challenges.

·Working knowledge of Matlab and C/C++ programming languages.

·Ability to apply expertise from related disciplines.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·Course work and/or experience with digital signal processing, probability theory, stochastic signal processing, and electromagnetic theory.

·Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD issued Secret Security clearance.

·U.S. Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:
Course work and/or experience in signal processing theory, communications, detection & estimation, machine learning, EO/IR and/or RF sensors.

Required Education:
Graduate standing in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline, and Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program with a minimum GPA of 3.3.
Must be available to work part-time during the school semester.

This position is classified as a ST05 - (Post-Graduate Technical Intern). Individuals must be enrolled in a PhD Program. (Degree fields listed in Required Education)

Security Clearance:
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
