Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems (IDS), Electrical Design Directorate (EDD), Receiver, Exciter, and Signal Processing (RESP) Department is the focal point for all receiver, exciter, and signal processing technology at IDS. We will empower our people to leverage design commonality and innovation, balancing risk and rigor, to achieve predictable and affordable solutions.

We are seeking upcoming college graduates willing to collaborate, innovate, and team with our engineers to generate and utilize today's cutting-edge technology to design components, modules, and systems that are used on cutting edge radar products. Our technology base includes RF components, high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and homogeneous / heterogeneous multiprocessor designs, and real-time multithreaded software applications.

Job Description
This position is for an entry level electrical engineer to work within the RESP department. Persons hired for this position will work on new product developments based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. This entails working in Integrated Product Teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based applications. Activities include, but are not limited to, analog system design, digital design with embedded real-time processors, high-speed Field Programmable Gate Array, Circuit Card Assembly design, high-performance multithreaded software applications, and integration of hardware and software at various development stages.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment

Required Skills:
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Familiarity with the engineering design process from requirements to development, test, and integration
  • Experience or equivalent Course Work in at least one of the following areas:
    • VDHL Design
    • C++ Software Programing
    • Mixed-Signal Design
    • RF System Design
    • Computer Networks
    • Communication Systems
    • Electronics/Circuits Design
    • Embedded System Design

Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Science curriculum from an accredited higher education institutions with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Degree must be granted by the summer of 2018 or within the last 18 months.
This position can be a Salary Grade G06 or Salary Grade G07 based on the candidate's qualifications and degree.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.
