This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. The selected candidate will be required to secure these accesses. Not being able to secure the Interim Secret Security Clearance needed for this position may result in an offer of employment being rescinded.

This position is for an electrical engineer to work in the Hardware Engineering Center of Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business unit. The Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) is an engineering organization that focuses on product producibility and mission assurance. It is a vital link in the integrated product development process that allows Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems to introduce reliable new products faster, better, and more economically.

The person hired for this position will be in the Analog, Mixed Signal, or Microwave Integrated Circuits department. The person hired for this position must be capable of transistor level analog and RF design of Integrated Circuits using multiple modern semiconductor technologies including, CMOS, GaAs, BiCMOS, SiGe, or other state-of-the-art Semiconductor Technologies as evidenced and demonstrated by previous work experience. Must be capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects. Must support rigorous and systematic design processes to insure total design compliance. Duties include technical design and leadership of new and existing ASIC developments. Ability to perform technical risk assessments, deployment and improvement of design processes, and technology planning.

Required Skills:

  • Electrical engineering experience with an emphasis in design, analysis, and test of Analog, Mixed Signal, or Microwave Integrated Circuits experience. Must have experience in risk management and risk assessment
  • Experience with industry standard CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools for electrical engineering as well as EE lab equipment
  • Experience with schematic capture, HDL code development, synthesis, simulation, and test
  • Familiarity with the complete design process from requirements to development, test, and integration
  • Must be able to obtain an interim Secret security clearance prior to starting
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with RF design tools such as ADS, Genesys, Matlab, Labview, PSPICE and Mentor Expedition design Tool.
  • Experience with VHDL design
  • Familiarity with Xilinx and TMS320C development tools
  • Experience with JTAG boundary-scan testing.
  • Experience with U.S. DoD Mil-Std-1553 and PCI bus architecture.
  • Experience using Mentor Graphics Design Architect
  • Software skills with C, C++ Visual Basic, and/or assembly languages.
  • Knowledge of CMMI
  • Experience in cost account management and cost estimation, and engineering planning (IMP/IMS)

Required Education:
Must have a MS / MA from an accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or other related field by Summer 2018 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
