Job Description:
The candidate will be working in Factory Operations Production Control, supporting various manufacturing roles and applications, duties will include: Learn and utilize manufacturing systems in support of daily production operations. Utilize manufacturing systems to plan and execute production programs. Learn and utilize metrics that track efficiency, quality and factory health trends. Participate in R6Sigma process improvement initiatives. Work on systemic issues facing Operations, develop and implement lean solutions.

Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules / changes; Evaluates and coordinates program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements. Statuses work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, programs, logistics, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

Required Skills:

  • Must have knowledge or experience of manufacturing processes and environment
  • Experience using presentation skills; able to present in monthly programs reviews
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point); must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Excel

Required Education (including major): Must have a BS / BA from an accredited university with a major in Business, Engineering, Technology or other related field by Summer 2017 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
