Job Description

The Raytheon Intelligence and Information Services (IIS) Global Intelligence Solutions (GIS) Mission Management and Control (M2C) team is seeking a Satellite Ground System/Software Integration & Test Engineer for the APEX program.

Satellite Ground Systems/Software Integration & Test Engineer will plans and performs Integration & Test (I&T) assignments involving definition integration plans and sequences relative to complex software and hardware subsystems and resolve identified conflicting issues. Participates in a complex I&T program which includes establishing methods and techniques, planning tests, develop test requirements, writing I&T procedures and reports, and conducts tests utilizing comprehensive knowledge of these complex subsystems. Participates in I&T readiness reviews, participates in design reviews, and conducts audits of I&T programs and facilities. Utilizes a broad knowledge of precedents in I&T engineering and applies understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test validity and integrity. Conducts tests, which include collaborating with others in establishing language, database, and computer simulation requirements and configuration management techniques. General supervision is received from a designated supervisor. Guidance received relates primarily to general objectives and details of unusual situations and /or requirements. Attends technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel, and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of his/her project. Provides status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks. Provides document review and resolves technical integration and test issues. Supports ECP efforts as required. Must have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.

Required Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills:
• 2+ years demonstrated engineering experience, or a technical Masters Degree
• Ability to obtain SSBI Security Clearance
• Must be willing to travel short term for business (less than 10%)
• Enthusiastic & energetic performer able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, & high visibility environment
• Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal oversight
• Team player incorporating a team based success philosophy
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and sound problem solving skills.

Desired Experience, Knowledge, and/or Skills:
• Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
• Experience with Mission Planning or Command, Control and Telemetry
• Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
Experience preparing and executing Integration/Test procedures
Experience utilizing discrepancy report systems
• Working within Integrated Product Teams

Required Education (including Major):
B.S./B.A. in Aerospace Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math and 2+ years’ experience.
