Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP)

The Raytheon Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP) is a two-year rotational program focused on developing leadership talent within a dynamic Human Resources organization. The LDP is the strategic, early career component of an integrated talent development construct that is designed to attract, develop and retain transformational leaders. The HRLDP is structured to provide rich development opportunities through targeted experiential and applied learning.


Members of the HRLDP will rotate into two diverse and challenging assignments intended to provide a breadth of experiences in a number of different HR functions and businesses. HRLDP rotations include a rotation in our HR Operations Center as a specialist focused on a number of our core disciplines and a rotation as an HR Generalist to apply those skills in a customer facing role.

The structured rotations are designed to provide experience and develop competencies within the following HR functions:
  • Compensation
  • International Human Resources
  • HR Operations
  • Employee Relations
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Enterprise Compliance
  • Labor Relations
  • Performance Development
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Workforce Analytics
  • Talent Development
  • Organizational Effectiveness

Members of the HRLDP are responsible for partnering with managers to execute critical HR processes that enable business success. They are expected to work collaboratively with multiple HR functions and teams to provide high-impact HR solutions to their business partners. Members of the HRLDP are accountable for establishing trusted relationships with their stakeholders through disciplined collaboration, effective communication and partnering skills.

The HRLDP features the following structured development processes:
  • Rotation to two distinct business areas across the U.S.
  • Competency based development planning
  • Executive exposure and dialogue with senior HR leadership
  • Executive and peer mentoring
  • Extensive experiential learning
  • Five weeks of intensive applied learning
  • Cross functional learning opportunities and engagements
  • Ongoing developmental feedback from multiple sources
  • Off-program placement process that aligns individual goals with business needs

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Applicants must be mobile and willing to relocate during the program.

Required Skills:
  • 3.0 Cumulative GPA or greater. Copies of transcripts required.
  • Prior business experience in HR
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Candidates must be within 18 months from graduation of a Master’s level program

Required Education:
  • MS/MA/MBA with emphasis in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development or other HR related field
  • Any MBA or JD with practical HR experience

Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  • Two years work experience in Human Resources
