Job Description

Raytheon’s Rotational Engineering Leadership Development Program fosters world-class leaders capable of leading Raytheon's engineering functions across the company. Program participants rotate through Raytheon, gaining exposure to cutting-edge principles, products and trends, working with current leaders, and developing the skills and competencies needed to help shape the company's future.

During this two year program, participants will have diverse assignments lasting 12 months each, and located in different geographical locations.Participants are engaged in a wide range of learning experiences including mentoring, live and self-paced learning, skills assessments, community service, career planning, networking, and exposure to Raytheon-wide facilities and practices. Individual development plans are linked to Raytheon’s leadership competencies with the goal of developing Raytheon’s engineering leaders of tomorrow.

The first assignment associated with this job requisition is with the OPS - Manufacturing & Test Engineering Center organization within Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) in Tucson Arizona. As an Industrial Engineer, the participant will be exposed to multiple programs within the business and have opportunities to lead projects in one or more of the following areas: designing, improving, and installing integrated systems of people, materials, and equipment. Drawing upon the specialized knowledge and skill in the mathematical, physical, and social sciences, together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design the role will specify, predict, and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Industrial Engineers support the needs in process and systems reviews in six main areas:
· Manufacturing Analysis
· Schedule Analysis
· Supplier Costs or Deliveries
· Labor Costs
· Producibility Support
· Factory Simulations

Required Skills:
· Willingness to geographically relocate multiple times during 2-year program duration
· Strong technical capability
· U.S. Citizenship is required
· Demonstrated leadership skills
· Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
· Candidate must have demonstrated, through internships or project experience, the ability to analyze and solve technical problems
Candidate must have excellent computer skills involving data analysis

· Candidate must have a "hands-on" preference and experience for the problem solving process

Desired Skills:
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Internship at an aerospace or defense company is preferred
· Experience in quality, product testing, inspection, software, or statistical data analysis is valuable
· Progression towards Systems or Industrial engineering major

Required Education(including Major):
· Graduating with a Master’s Degree or PhD in engineering or hard science in the current academic year (September 2016 - June 2017)
· A 3.5 GPA or higher in graduate studies; a 3.2 GPA or higher in undergraduate studies
