University Programs: Software Engineer I (Bachelor’s Degree Level)

Job Description:

Bring your talent and skills to Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) Engineering Team!

Raytheon IIS is seeking an entry-level recent college graduate for multiple Software Engineer positions to support the Global Positioning Program (GPS) in Aurora, Colorado. The GPS system is a space-based satellite navigation system that provide location and time information.

The qualified candidate will determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solutions
development, and proposed solutions. Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures. Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Required Skills:

Demonstrated experience with Java or C++, Linux/Unix OS based environment

Customer focus and collaboration skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired Skills:

Experience with web service technologies; XML, XML Schema, WSDLs, XSLT, SOAP, UDDI

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor’s degree obtained within the past 18 months or Fall 2017/Spring 2018 in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering degree.

Required cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher is desired. Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. (Please include your transcript with your resume)
