Contracts Leadership Development Program

The Raytheon Contracts organization mission is to deliver balanced, equitable business deals that ensure our customer’s success. A Contracts Professional is the official point of contact for all contractual business matters and handles all verbal and written communication with the customer’s procurement representative.

A Contracts Professional is responsible for the following:
  • Interpreting and communicating contract requirements and providing guidance to all functional organizations through the life of the contract
  • Understanding the interrelationships of all business functional elements, such as accounting, legal, procurements, engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance
  • Proposing and negotiating contractual efforts
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and meeting delivery commitments
  • Documenting changes and negotiating equitable adjustments which result from these changes
  • Serving as primary customer interface from pre-proposal/planning phases to contract closeout

Participants in will be given challenging assignments that will develop functional skills. Participants may have the opportunity to travel throughout the country to attend training sessions that provide not only contracts specific training but also finance, leadership, and communications acumen. Participants will visit Raytheon Businesses during the program and will have exposure to Raytheon leadership across the company.

Participant Competency Model: Integrity, Customer focus, Creativity/Innovation/Ingenuity/Initiative, Communication skills (oral and written), technical competency, detail orientation, negotiation skills, analytical skills, information technology skills, strategic/global mindset.

The CLDP is a two (2) year program, consisting of two (2) one (1) year relocations/assignments in our US locations.

Program Requirements: Applicants must be willing to relocate and be able to obtain a US Security Clearance. Applicant must earn an undergraduate degree during the period stated below and overall GPA must be 3.0 or higher (out of a 4.0 scale). Copies of transcripts required.

Types of degrees recruited: Undergraduate (or Graduate) degree in fields such as (but not limited to): Economics, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, International Studies, Political Science, and Pre-Law with a possible minor in a foreign language.


Required Skills and Education:
  • 3.0 Cumulative GPA (out of a 4.0 scale)
  • Demonstrated history of Leadership
  • Undergraduate (Bachelor) degree must be obtained between December 2017 and June 2018. Please upload a copy of your most recent transcripts along with your resume when applying to this requisition.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Desired Skills:
  • 3.3 Cumulative GPA (out of a 4.0 scale)
  • Relevant internship experience
