Job Description

The Raytheon Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has a professional entry-level opportunity available in Sterling, Virginia. The candidate will support datacenter infrastructure system design, development, build, integration, test and delivery activities for mission-unique computing systems. Interested candidates should be a recent graduate with a BS degree in engineering or computer science. The candidate should also have interest in scripting/programming, computing system infrastructure build automation, virtualization and cloud technologies and infrastructure service components such as compute, transport and storage. Candidates must be professional self-starters with a positive attitude and eagerness/aptitude to learn new technologies.

Required Skills:

·Basic understanding of infrastructure architecture design concepts
·Ability to work well in teams
·Effective verbal and written communication skills
·US Citizenship status is required as this position will need a US Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Desired Skills:
  • Exposure to build automation tools such as Chef, Puppet or Ansible
  • Understanding of computing environments and virtualization/cloud technologies
  • Summer intern work experience participating in infrastructure, systems or software engineering activities
  • Experience with MS Office applications Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
  • Coursework in hardware and network engineering concepts and practices

Required Education:
·Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or related field obtained within the last 18 months, Fall 2016 or Spring 2016, Spring 2017
·A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is desired (Please include GPA on your resume)
