Job Description:

Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems designs, develops and manufactures radars, sensors, communications systems and electronic warfare solutions for airborne, Space and Naval Defense. Our Engineering team, has a need for a Digital Design Engineer to design, build, and maintain complex circuit card assemblies (CCA) and systems for airborne and land-based Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) systems for communications applications. This position will entail working with other experienced digital design, RF, and FPGA design engineers in our Aberdeen, Maryland office to provide cutting-edge products and services for the protection of our country. Activities include detailed digital design with embedded real-time processors and state of the art FPGA components. Specific tasks will include documentation's, design and verification/testing and integration of hardware, firmware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards.Candidates for the position must have strong written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to work independently utilizing established procedures, while under general supervision from senior Digital Design Engineering staff

Required Skills:

·years of experience within Digital and analog circuit design

·Hands on lab experience in analog, and/or digital electronics and tools

·Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)

·Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain an DOD Secret Security clearance

Desired Skills:

·Experience with hands-on hardware integration, troubleshooting, and manufacturing experience

·Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment

·Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems

·Good interpersonal skills

·Good written and verbal communication skills

·Exposure to Hardware Description Language

·Experience/familiarity Mathworks design development tools; MatLab, Simulink

·Python or similar programming experience

Required Education:

·Must have a BS / BA from an ABET accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or other related field by Summer 2017 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
