Job Description:
This position is for an entry level electrical engineer to work in the Hardware Center of Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business unit. The person hired for this position will work on new product development based on descriptions and specifications provided by our customers. This entails working in integrated product teams to design, develop, and manufacture complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications. Activities include detailed analog, digital, and mixed signal design for systems utilizing receivers, power supplies, processors, FPGA components, transceivers, DSPs, A/D & D/A converters, RF modules, & backplanes for use in Electronic Warfare systems. Specific tasks include circuit analysis, circuit simulation, creating schematics, design documentation, conducting component and sub-system trade studies, construction of breadboards, design verification and testing, and integration of hardware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards.

Required Skills:

- Electrical engineering experience and/or education with an emphasis on analog and mixed signal design, including power supply and power system analysis, FPGA development, and design of analog, RF, and mixed signal circuits.
- Experience with industry standard CAE (computer-aided engineering) tools for electrical engineering as well as EE lab equipment, including Spice circuit analysis.
- Experience with schematic capture, HDL code development, synthesis, simulation, and test.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)
- Must be able to obtain an interim Secret security clearance prior to starting

Desired Skills:

- Familiarity with FPGA design using VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog
- Familiarity with Xilinx and/or Altera development tools
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Questa or ModelSim for FPGA simulation
- Familiarity with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner for schematic capture
- Familiarity with state-space modeling of power converters

- Software skills with C, C++ Visual Basic, and/or assembly languages.

Required Education (including major):
Must have a BS / BA from an ABET accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related field by Summer 2017 or have graduated within 18 months prior to start date.
