Job Description

Position: Intern Reports To: Executive Asst. to the Founder

Location: Silver Spring, MD Department: Office of the Founder

FLSA: Non-Exempt Station: Corporate Office

Mandate: To competently and professionally support the day to day operation of the Founder's Office and assist with the archival materials - organizing and generating databases. This position will also assist with the research, planning and execution of special projects generated within the Founder's Office.

Main Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative support
Review and organize archival material
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to generate and update databases
Conduct research, gather background information, and assist with the execution of special projects
Assist with the development of video content
Write copy
Social media content creation
Graphic design (must own a smart phone)
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Exhibits strong organization skills and attention to detail
Experience conducting research
Task-oriented
Motivated, self-starter
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates awareness and interest in radio, television, and digital media
Creative and flexible
Knowledge of social media applications and platforms

Requirements:

Someone who is flexible, passionate and creative about radio!
A team player who is committed and open to learning and developing new skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Must be 18+ years of age or older
Must be able to provide proof of current college or broadcasting program enrollment

Education and/ or Experience:

The ideal candidate is an undergraduate student seeking a degree in a media or business related field.
