Job Description

Do you spend your free time building software, websites, apps, and staying up on all the latest technologies? Want to get paid for it but you don't have your degree yet? Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee owned company, is looking for a Software Engineer Co-op to support various development projects in Dayton, Ohio. The successful candidate will support a variety of programming tasks intended to supplement contract development efforts. Programming tasks will be tailored to fit the specific capability of the candidate but could include desktop applications using object oriented languages, or user interfaces and web services to perform basic web-based development. The candidate will work with more senior developers to implement user requirements. Work location will be at the Radiance office. Excellent people skills and computer science coursework in software development principles, patterns, processes and practices are essential.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Full software life cycle product development on a variety of architectures and target platforms
* Applications include target detection/tracking, data acquisition and analysis, digital signal processing, image processing, artificial intelligence, GUI development, and more
* Utilizing software engineering technologies such as Object Oriented Design/Programming, Client-Server Distributed Architectures, Service Oriented Architectures, C/C++, Java, Python, Web Technologies, and more.

Required Skills

* Junior or higher status in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical degree at an accredited college/university
* Overall cumulative GPA of 3.4/4.0
* Be available to work 30 - 40 hours a week and work a consistent schedule
* US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
