Job Description

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee owned company supporting multiple technology development efforts is searching for a talented Hardware and Software Security Research Engineer Intern to join the Advanced Technology Development Operation in the Cyber Solutions Group. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent technical skills drawing from a number of Electrical Engineering technical skillsets to research and develop designs to support sensor integration, circuitry design, and PCB layout for radiation detection; assist with PCB and flex-circuit design and layout as well as power systems analysis. Flexibility is a must, as our tasks include a wide variety of topics in support of our mission: electronic design implementation in FPGA or firmware; discrete electronic design, layout and verification. Responsibilities will include documentation of progress, effective communication, and presentation of results and progress. Experience working with power systems and discrete electronic system design will be a significant plus. The hired candidate will perform research in the area of layout, design, and test assistance tasks on electronic PCB and flexible circuits and power system design and analysis. The ideal candidate will be a currently enrolled as a Masters Level Electrical Engineering student capable of independent research and development. Experience with discrete design and simulation software, VHDL, Verilog, Python, and C++ is required.

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience with electronic discrete hardware design, layout, and test.
* Experience with FPGA programming (VHDL, Verilog)
* Experience with modeling/simulation software (Matlab, PSPICE)
* Experience with Python and C++ software languages.
* Self-motivated yet able to work well within a development team

Required Skills

* Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or relevant technical field
* Minimum GPA of 3.3
* US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
* Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering or Presently Enrolled in M.S. Program
