Job Description

Q2 is seeking energetic, innovative, "out-of-the-box" thinkers with a passion for software and technology to join our 2019 Summer Intern Program.

The Summer Internship Program is 12-weeks long (beginning May 29, 2019), and all positions are paid hourly with an average work week of 40 hours. In addition to your project-based internship role, you will be given the opportunity for weekly learning sessions with Sr. Leadership, off-site activities with other Q2 interns and the opportunity to present on your internship experience to the Executive Leadership team at the end of the program.

We are seeking an Integrated Operations Center Intern who will be reporting through the Q2 Integrated Operations Center (IOC) organization and directly to the IOC Manager. The IOC Intern will help with monitoring, alerting and escalation along with working cases and special projects special projects as needed such as TERF (terminated environment cleanup) and DERF (decommissioned environment cleanup).

The intern will gain knowledge of various tools used for monitoring an infrastructure along with experience working with systems and applications. The team member will need to keep a detailed inventory, daily project updates, and communicate any roadblocks they encounter that could cause them to miss their deadlines.

IOC interns should have:

* Computer Skills - Experience working with Windows Servers and network systems, ability to navigate the OS with minimal supervision


* Analytical / Problem Solving Skills - Ability to troubleshoot problems and find fixes


* Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with engineers and other analysts to solve problems


* Customer Service - ability to work with Support and other teams as necessary


* Time Management - ability to work efficiently to quickly remedy problems or complete tasks


* Detail-oriented with items such as case/project updates, detailed project notes, etc.
