Job Description

Act as the Administrative Assistant for the Division of Diversity and Inclusion (DDI) and Diversity Leadership Team (DLT) members. Responsible for scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, researching materials, preparing correspondence, making travel arrangements; planning and managing logistics for large conferences, events and/or luncheons, etc. Support a collateral working relationship with the respective support team of the Provost Office. Coordinate data collection and assist in preparing progress reports, financial reports, and periodic formal reports. May be required to travel with the DLT members or DDI Provost Fellows on occasion.

Required:

* High school diploma / GED.
* Four years of high-level secretarial experience.
* A valid US or Canadian driver's license.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent customer service skills and professionalism in dealing with students, faculty and staff.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce in an academic setting.
* Strong organizational and time management skills with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
* Motivated individual with ability to efficiently multi task, work under pressure, handle interruptions and meet deadlines.
* Demonstrated competence with diversity and inclusion.
* Ability to identify and determine problems, analyze information and implement solutions.
* Capable of taking initiative, assuming responsibility and handling confidential information with discretion.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology.
* Proficient in: Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word and Concur.

Preferred:

* Bachelor's degree.
* Experience planning and organizing large meetings, conferences and coordinating full-day visits for job candidates.
* Knowledge of University procedures, regulations and structure.
